1. Don’t Do Afternoon Rafting
Don’t ever attempt to try afternoon rafting on rainy days at Telaga Waja river, choose morning rafting trips. Telaga Waja River located in the center part of Bali island, most of the river water coming from the mountain. During rainy seasons, all the mountain areas will have significant rain, and it will start to flow the water to the river, one of them is the Telaga Waja river.
During rainy seasons, continuous rain occurs in the mountain area, and in the morning the soil still manages to absorb the rain, while in the afternoon there is significant water flowing from the mountain to the river. These will raise the water level to warn level or sometimes dangerous level. Therefore, don’t do afternoon rafting at Telaga Waja during rainy seasons.
2. Choose A Reputable Rafting Company
While most rafting operator in Bali takes primary concern of rafting safety for customers, however, to make sure and give a secure feeling during river rafting Bali, my recommendation is to choose a well-known rafting operator, one of them is Sobek Rafting or Alam rafting Bali. Bali Sobek will cancel the rafting trips if they know it is not secure and safe. Also, you can choose to reschedule or have a refund if cancellation made by the rafting company.
Sobek Rafting equipped with exceptional rafting equipment also has an experienced rafting guide with international safety certification. However, choosing a well-known rafting operator will cost you more on white water rafting prices compare to less know rafting company.
